• Experience: 7+ years in Snowflake platform administration or data engineering, with 1+ years specifically on Generative AI solutions.\n
• Snowflake Expertise: Deep knowledge of SQL, SnowSQL, Cortex Search, Cortex Analyst, and Snowflake Cortex AI functions (summarize, extract, translate).\n
• Languages: Strong Python (Snowpark) and SQL proficiency.\n
• Data Governance: Experience implementing security policies (row-level security, masking) within the Snowflake environment.\n
• AI Knowledge: Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering.\nRoles & Responsibilities\n
• Cortex AI Implementation: Architect and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines using Cortex Search and Cortex Analyst to translate natural language into SQL.\n
• Semantic Model Development: Develop and maintain semantic models (YAML files) that map business language to database schemas for accurate, conversational analytics.\n
• Cortex Performance & Cost Tuning: Optimize Cortex query performance and manage credit consumption for LLM functions and Cortex Search.\n• Platform Administration: Manage Snowflake core platform components: virtual warehouses, RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, and Data Sharing.\n
• Governance & Security: Ensure data security and governance compliance when deploying Cortex solutions, ensuring customer data does not leave the secure boundary.\n
• API & Application Integration: Integrate Cortex APIs into enterprise tools (Streamlit, Power BI, Slack, Teams) to build interactive AI applications.\n
