ServiceNow Portal Developer

Location: Remote

Client: Defense and Logistics Agency DLA/ Federal long term Contract

<>Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom user interfaces, forms, and portals within ServiceNow, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Create, configure, and maintain complex workflows and business logic using Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and business rules.
  • Develop custom applications and modules using ServiceNow's App Engine Studio to meet specific business needs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions and designs.
  • Customize and extend core ServiceNow applications to align with company processes and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues related to UI and workflow functionality, providing technical support and solutions.
  • Maintain a clean, well-documented codebase and follow best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow releases, new features, and UI/UX trends to recommend improvements.
<>Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a strong focus on workflow and UI development and with a strong focus on integrations.
  • Proficiency in client-side and server-side scripting, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with ServiceNow's IntegrationHub is highly preferred
  • Expertise in developing with Service Portal, including custom widgets, themes, and pages.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models and the ability to work with various modules like IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), or HR Service Delivery
  • Experience with Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and the creation of business rules and UI policies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, especially JavaScript, within the ServiceNow environment (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions)
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, forms, and user roles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Certified System Administrator.
  • Experience with ServiceNow's UI Builder and Workspace Experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • A portfolio or examples of previous ServiceNow UI/UX work
