Job Title: Firco SME with Java
Location: New York City, NY (onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Firco applications (Firco Continuity, Firco Trust, or related FircoSoft products).
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based customizations and extensions for Firco systems.
- Configure and manage sanctions, AML, and name screening rules, thresholds, and filters.
- Integrate Firco solutions with upstream and downstream systems using APIs, messaging (MQ/JMS), files, and web services.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely resolution.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability in high-volume transaction environments.
- Support UAT, SIT, and production deployments, including release planning and post-go-live support.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and operational runbooks.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal security policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Strong hands-on experience with FircoSoft solutions (Firco Continuity / Firco Trust).
· Solid Java development experience (Core Java, J2EE, Spring, REST/SOAP services).
· Good understanding of AML, Sanctions Screening, KYC, and Financial Crime Compliance.
· Experience with database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
· Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
· Familiarity with messaging systems (IBM MQ, JMS, Kafka is a plus).
· Experience with application support in production environments (L2/L3).
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Educational Qualifications:
- Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
- Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.
Travel:
· Open to travel based up on the nature of the engagement.
