RF Engineer, to work for one of our clients, an electronics manufacturer, located in Melville, NY.
This is a permanent, full-time job.
In this role you will be responsible for managing manufacturing engineers/SMT and machinist staff and solving complex engineering problems related to development of high-power amplifiers.
The ideal candidate would have bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent and minimum 7 years of experience in RF microwave design and development and proficiency generating specifications, schematics, PCB layout, and evaluating, testing, tuning, and modifying circuits to meet specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design and assess manufacturing processes by conducting research programs that leverage knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; collaborate with equipment suppliers; and gather feedback from operators.
- Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and optimizing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Engage in extensive decision-making while evaluating new design layouts aimed at reducing costs and maximizing workflow and efficiency.
- Create essential assembly guides, operational manuals, and illustrations for manufacturing processes using computer-aided design and manufacturing software; issue Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) as needed to improve or correct documents, products, and processes.
- Provide support to a team of leading engineers and designers by offering valuable insights on product operations.
- Inform manufacturing decisions by calculating production labor and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future needs.
- Collaborate on cost studies, equipment recommendations, and make-or-buy analyses to drive meaningful outcomes.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to review in-process documentation for errors and inconsistencies, thereby improving efficiency and output within the organization.
