OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled
Storage / Systems Engineer to support and enhance a large, enterprise-scale infrastructure environment. This is a
contract-to-hire opportunity, with full-time conversion available after the initial contract period. Candidates must reside in
Ohio to be eligible for conversion and participation in the organization's benefit / retirement program. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep experience in
Rubrik backup and recovery,
VMware administration, and
enterprise storage environments, who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the subject matter expert for Rubrik, providing advanced troubleshooting, issue resolution, and operational support for backup and recovery systems
- Perform VMware administration tasks, including host patching, maintenance, and general server support
- Manage and support IBM storage solutions across SAN and NAS environments
- Collaborate with server and storage teams as they merge into a unified infrastructure group
- Support and integrate Azure and Office 365 environments as part of ongoing modernization efforts
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and storage virtualization initiatives
- Work within a complex, enterprise data environment supporting healthcare operations
Required Skills & Experience- Strong hands-on expertise with Rubrik backup and recovery (troubleshooting and issue resolution required)
- Experience with VMware, including host patching and server maintenance
- Proven experience managing IBM storage solutions in SAN/NAS environments
- Familiarity with Azure and Office 365
- Experience as a Systems Engineer, Storage Engineer, or Server Administrator in enterprise environments
- Associates degree
Nice-to-Have Skills- Experience with VAST Data
- Knowledge of EMC storage, Brocade switches, and storage virtualization
- Exposure to Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Linux environments
- Disaster recovery planning and execution experience

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
