AI Strategist
Location: Chicago, IL
Work Arrangement: Onsite — 3 days/week
Duration: 200 hours / approximately 8 weeks
Schedule: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central
Job Description
We are seeking an AI Strategist for an immediate, short-term backfill opportunity within a Strategy Department. The contractor will step in to own and maintain momentum on an Agentic AI Strategists (“Ghosts”) initiative, freeing up the current strategist to support a new high-priority brand project.
This role will manage the “build, train, and trial” stages of the project, including gathering first-party (1P) data and establishing the contractor project plan. The contractor will collaborate with Brand, R&D, Creative, and Studio leaders, as well as partner with an enterprise Gemini team.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills
1. AI Product / Agentic Strategy
Experience setting up, training, or managing AI-driven personas/agents, specifically utilizing 1P data and segmentation frameworks to build synthetic consumers.
2. Data & Insight Scoping
Ability to gather, structure, and utilize 1P consumer data, behavioral inputs, and audience segments to guide high-fidelity AI outputs.
3. Agile Project Management — Build/Trial Phase
Proven capacity to manage a project plan through development, testing, and piloting stages across cross-functional teams including Creative, Brand, and R&D.
Experience Required
5–8 years in strategic planning, with specific experience running:
- AI implementation
- Innovation pilots
- Data-driven audience strategy
Education
Bachelor’s degree in:
- Business Strategy
- Data Analytics
- Marketing
- Cognitive Science
or equivalent practical experience.
Technical Requirements
- Computer knowledge required to perform duties.
- Familiarity with AI development lifecycles
- Generative AI tools
- LLM frameworks
- Agentic AI concepts
- Synthetic research concepts
- Standard enterprise collaboration tools, including Google Workspace
Schedule & Location
Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Central
Onsite: Required, 3 days per week in Chicago, IL

Interview Process
Initial Screen:
15-minute discussion covering logistics, availability, and rate alignment.
Strategy Interview:
30-minute video interview with the Head of Strategy to review:
- Past AI project case studies
- Data/segmentation integration
- Approach to managing mid-flight project handoffs
