Description Robert Half is seeking a
Sr. Shopify Developer to support a sporting goods manufacturing client based in Seattle, WA. This role will focus on addressing an existing backlog of Shopify-related issues, with a strong emphasis on front-end development and ongoing maintenance of backend integrations.
This is not a greenfield build-success in this role comes from improving, optimizing, and maintaining what's already in place while ensuring a seamless experience for both customers and internal stakeholders.
Duration: 3 month contract
Location: 100% Remote - PST hours preferred, flexible
Schedule: 40 hours initially, with the potential to transition to a part-time role based on remaining backlog.
Key Responsibilities- Address and resolve a backlog of issues within the Shopify platform.
- Modify and enhance Shopify themes, including layout and UI changes.
- Work extensively with the Liquid templating language to customize storefront functionality.
- Ensure front-end performance, usability, and responsiveness align with business needs.
Front-End Development (Approx. 80%)- Implement updates and fixes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within Shopify.
- Troubleshoot front-end issues related to themes, layouts, and user experience.
- Apply a strong understanding of Shopify's front-end toolset and architecture.
Backend & Integrations (Approx. 20%)- Maintain and optimize existing Shopify API integrations with internal systems.
- Support and monitor 5-10 existing system connections, including both API-based integrations and webhooks.
- Ensure accurate and reliable data flow between Shopify and connected platforms.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and improve performance where needed.
Requirements - Proven experience as a Sr. Shopify Developer.
- Strong hands-on experience with: Shopify Liquid, Shopify theme customization, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience working with Shopify APIs and maintaining existing integrations.
- Solid understanding of front-end development within the Shopify ecosystem.
