contract basis.

Location: Charlotte, NC or San Francisco Bay Area (multiple office locations available)
Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week
Contract Duration: 12+ Months
Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong backend development experience using Golang and/or Python
- Experience building scalable, real-time services and APIs
- Strong understanding of microservices and service integration architectures
- Proven experience leading projects, initiatives, or engineering teams
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes
- Linux administration and development experience
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong relational database experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desired Skills & Experience - Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
- Exposure to Vertex AI, BigQuery, or cloud-native AI/ML platforms
- Experience integrating predictive models into enterprise applications
- Knowledge of model-serving architectures and API gateways
- Rust and/or C++ experience
- Familiarity with GenAI, LLMs, or AI agents
- Experience working in distributed or global team environments

Daily Responsibilities - Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs
- Build integration layers that expose predictive model outputs to business applications
- Create real-time services supporting AI and machine learning solutions
- Partner with data science teams to operationalize predictive models
- Collaborate with global engineering teams on platform modernization efforts
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions for enterprise-scale systems
- Implement CI/CD best practices and deployment automation
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across projects
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives
