Cloud Network Engineer

Position: Cloud Network Engineer

Location: Iselin, NJ / Houston, TX 

Key Responsibilities 

Network Architecture & Operations

·       Design, deploy, and support scalable LAN/WAN, private/public cloud, hybrid data center, and Kubernetes networking solutions.

Network Automation & IaC

·       Provision, configure, and manage network infrastructure using Terraform and version-controlled CI/CD workflows.

Multi-Cloud Networking

·       Deploy and operate Aviatrix architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (Controller, Transit/Spoke Gateways, traffic inspection, and secure segmentation).

Monitoring & Observability

·       Lead the migration from SolarWinds to Zabbix + Grafana; design actionable dashboards, alerts, thresholds, and capacity management reporting.

Infrastructure & Security

·       Manage routers, switches (Cisco Nexus spine-leaf), firewalls, load balancers (F5), VPNs, DDI/IPAM, and network security policies.

Troubleshooting & On-Call

·       Perform root-cause analysis for complex outages and performance issues; participate in a 24x7 production support rotation.

Technical Leadership

·       Maintain network documentation, architecture standards, and DR plans; collaborate across cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers. 

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering (or equivalent experience) with 7+ years in network engineering, including 3+ years in complex enterprise/cloud/data center environments.

Certifications

·       CCNP required; CCIE preferred.

Automation & IaC

·       2+ years of automation using Python, Ansible, or Go, combined with hands-on Terraform experience.

Multi-Cloud & SDN

·       Hands-on experience with Aviatrix Cloud Network Platform, SDN controllers, and cloud-native networking across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Routing, Switching & Security

·       Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, spine-leaf architectures (Cisco Nexus N9K), F5 LTM/GTM, firewalls, and VPNs.

Container Networking

·       Expertise in Kubernetes CNI plugins (Calico, Cilium), network policies, and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).

Monitoring & Analytics

·       Proven experience with Zabbix, Grafana integration, telemetry (SNMP, NetFlow), and enterprise monitoring migrations.
