Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking an Analytics Engineer II to support enterprise data initiatives within its Data and Application Insights team. This role focuses on data integration, data management, analytics, reporting design, and requirements gathering to support enterprise reference data management and business reporting initiatives.
The Analytics Engineer II will collaborate closely with project teams, healthcare service line leaders, and technical teams to design and develop reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision making across the organization.
This position requires strong expertise in SQL, BI tools, data modeling, and analytics engineering practices, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The role will contribute to the development of enterprise reporting assets including dashboards, datasets, fact tables, data cubes, and reporting documentation, ensuring alignment with enterprise data standards and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Reporting
Design, build, and document enterprise reports, dashboards, datasets, and data models supporting healthcare service lines.
Perform data analysis and business reporting development to support operational and strategic initiatives.
Develop data cubes, fact tables, and reporting datasets to enable scalable enterprise reporting.
Support reference data management initiatives by analyzing and integrating multiple data sources.
Data Engineering & Integration
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and integrate data across enterprise data platforms.
Support ETL data mapping and integration activities to ensure accurate data delivery across reporting environments.
Work with large-scale data platforms such as Cloudera and Teradata to manage analytics datasets.
Assist data management teams with building queries, data tables, and reporting structures that support analytics initiatives.
Business & Requirements Collaboration
Partner with healthcare service line leaders and stakeholders to gather business requirements for analytics and reporting solutions.
Translate business needs into functional specifications and reporting designs.
Collaborate with product teams and technical teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise project objectives.
BI Tools & Data Visualization
Utilize BI platforms such as Power BI and MicroStrategy to design and deliver reporting solutions.
Create visualizations that communicate insights clearly to business stakeholders.
Develop and maintain documentation for dashboards, reports, and analytics models.
Project Collaboration
Work within Agile/Scrum delivery environments supporting product initiatives and analytics solutions.
Communicate regularly with project teams, vendors, and end users to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
Identify and escalate risks, data issues, and reporting challenges to project leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong experience with SQL report writing and complex query development
Experience working with BI tools such as Power BI or MicroStrategy
Experience with data analytics, reporting, and data visualization
Understanding of ETL processes, data mapping, and data integration
Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Cloudera or Teradata
Knowledge of reference data management tools such as Ataccama is a plus
Analytical & Collaboration Skills

Ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions
Strong collaboration skills across technical teams and business stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Experience working directly with cross-functional project teams
Preferred Experience
2–4 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or analytics engineering
Experience working in healthcare data environments
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum project methodologies
Experience supporting enterprise analytics initiatives across multiple business units
Proven ability to deliver solutions in fast-paced, results-driven environments
Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field)

Minimal travel required (generally less than 25%)
Hybrid or onsite collaboration may be required depending on project needs
