Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role will require you to leverage your expertise in Kubernetes, specifically GKE, to architect, deploy, and manage containerized applications effectively. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of cloud native technologies, containerization, and orchestration, as well as best practices in DevOps and CI/CD processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable GKE solutions for production environments.
- Manage and monitor GKE clusters and deployed applications for performance and reliability.
- Provide expert guidance on Kubernetes best practices, security, and network management.
- Develop automated CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of Kubernetes within the application lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GKE and Kubernetes configurations.
- Stay current with the latest developments in Kubernetes and cloud technologies to ensure optimal performance and improvements.

Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing Kubernetes environments, specifically on GKE.
- Proven expertise in containerization technologies and orchestration solutions.
- Experience with cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
- Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, particularly CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of service mesh technologies and cloud security best practices.
