Network Production Services Engineer

Job Title: Network Production Services Engineer
Location Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, or Plano, TX (3X a week from any location)

Job Type: W2, Contract

2 interviews. First is panel style virtual interview, final is onsite

The strongest candidates will have direct experience with F5, BlueCat, and VMware Avi in an enterprise production environment.

1. 7+ years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering, Network Operations, or Network Production Support.
2. F5 Load Balancing experience Strong hands-on experience with F5 LTM, GTM, and APM.
3. BlueCat experience Hands-on experience with BlueCat DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and preferably BlueCat Cloud Resolver.
4. VMware Avi / Advanced Load Balancer Experience supporting and troubleshooting VMware Avi load-balancing solutions.
5. Strong networking fundamentals:

DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP.

TCP/IP, Ethernet, ARP.

Strong understanding of OSI Layers 5 7 and fundamental knowledge of Layers 1 4.

6. Advanced network troubleshooting Ability to troubleshoot complex network, application connectivity, DNS, and load-balancing issues.
7. Production Support / Incident Management Experience handling critical production incidents, root cause analysis, service restoration, and incident escalation.
8. Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting Tools Experience with tools such as Wireshark, NetScout, Splunk, SevOne, and HPNA.
9. Configuration Management Familiarity with Forward Networks, HPNA, and network configuration management processes.
10. JIRA and Confluence Experience managing incidents, documentation, technical updates, and operational runbooks.
11. Cloud Networking Understanding of private/public cloud networking environments.
