Computational Designers

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce in Tampa, Florida is looking for Computational Designers. Qualified candidates will be Using algorithmic and data-driven design methods to create complex, high-performance manufactured product geometries; Utilizing data to inform design decisions; Producing designs using advanced manufacturing tools like 3D knitting machines, 3D printing, and robotics to prototype and produce designs; Developing parametric models and streamlined workflows using Python, Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, AutoCAD, and TouchDesigner; Develop computational design workflows; Develop 3D geometries; Design Philosophy and Workflow; Setting rules and parameters to allow the software generates optimized forms; Tailoring designs to specific performance needs; Prototyping to test ideas and inform larger-scale builds; Developing internal tools and workflows to enhance digital product creation; Coordinating and structuring digital assets, including 3D and CAD files; and Integrating material testing by linking design outputs with performance data.

Salary: $50.00 to $90.00/hr.

REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements: Master's Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial Design, Architectural Design or Engineering and one years' experience in position or one years experience in Design field (or Bachelor's Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial Design, Architectural Design or Engineering and five years experience in position or five years experience in Design field).

Special requirements: Experience with developing computational design workflows, developing 3D geometries, Python, Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, AutoCAD and TouchDesigner. Up to 100% travel to various unanticipated domestic client sites in US required.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
