Position: Java Tech Lead

Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ (5 Days onsite/week)

Required Experience

  • 10 years of software development experience
  • 3 years as Technical Lead or Lead Developer
  • Strong experience in enterprise application development
  • Experience leading offshore and onsite teams

 

Technical Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end solution design and application development
  • Define technical architecture and development standards
  • Drive best practices around coding, testing, security, and performance
  • Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments
  • Guide teams through complex technical challenges and production issues

 

Hands-on Development

  • Actively participate in coding and development activities
  • Build REST APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
  • Design database solutions and optimize application performance
  • Develop integrations with payment processing platforms and third-party systems
  • Support CICD implementation and DevOps initiatives

 

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Programming: Java 8, 11, or 17; Spring Boot; Spring Framework; RESTful Services, Microservices Architecture
  • Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL Performance Tuning; Data Modelling
  • Integration Messaging: Kafka, IBM MQ, Event-Driven Architecture, API Integrations, DevOps, Git, Jenkins
  • Azure DevOps CICD Pipelines
  • Cloud Modernization: Docker, Kubernetes,s AWS or Azure

 

Domain Expertise: Payments, Domain Card Processing, SCredit/Debitit Debit Card Disputes, Chargeback Management, Fraud Claims Processing
