IMPORTANT NOTES - Please Read Fully:
1 - Client will consider fully remote candidates, however, candidates local and able to get to the office on occasion as needed would be given preference. Remote resources must be located within the contingent United States and must remain within the contingent United States for all work while in this role. Candidates must be able to work on the client''s Eastern Time Zone business hours.
2 - Position will have a 37.5-hour work week, NOT a 40-hour workweek.
3 - Any education, degrees, and certifications listed on the resume MUST contain a valid degree/certification details, INCLUDING the date the certification/degree was acquired or candidates will not be considered.
4 - Professional references required upon submittal - When submitting your candidate, include a Word document that includes contact info for THREE professional references for your candidate - upload this in the same section on the Reference tab as you upload the Resume and RTR. These references must be supervisory references from past employment, and at least one of the three must be a supervisor from employment where the candidate worked in a role similar to what is being requested for this position. References must include the full name, phone number, and email address for the reference AND must note where, when, and how the reference worked with the submitted candidate. If you do not include the required references at time of submittal OR we find the references provided have been falsified, your candidate will be removed from consideration.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
In need of a SQL-heavy developer (T-SQL) who is experienced with Classic ASP (VBScript), and has experience maintaining and supporting legacy systems in production environments.
Core skills needed:
- Strong SQL Server / T-SQL experience
- Writing and optimizing complex queries
- Performance tuning (indexes, execution plans, refactoring)
- Stored procedures, views, and troubleshooting production issues
- Classic ASP (VBScript) experience
- Maintaining and enhancing existing code
- ADO, session management, request/response lifecycle
- Comfortable debugging older, minimally documented applications
- Proven experience supporting legacy production systems, including vendor-provided applications
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience supporting or coordinating with third-party/vendor applications
- Basic IIS and Windows hosting knowledge (app pools, permissions, deployments)
- Familiarity with modernization patterns (not required to implement, but helpful context)
Key expectations:
- Comfortable working in legacy environments where stability is critical
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Able to work independently with limited documentation
- Focused on safe, incremental improvements and support
