SAP TM consultant - Travel to IA
End Client Location: Candidates can be based anywhere in the U.S. but will be required to travel to Forest City, IA, five days a week for the first four weeks. After that, they will still need to travel weekly, but only for three days a week.

About the Role
This person will serve as the primary functional SAP S/4HANA TM consultant in an AMS/support environment. The day to day will focus on L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting incidents, resolving planning and execution issues, supporting freight settlement, handling minor enhancements, and improving overall system stability. They will work across TM planning, tendering, execution, carrier processes, charge calculation, and integrations with EWM, 3PLs, and carrier systems. They ll also support testing, releases, root-cause analysis, and work closely with business and technical teams.
Day to Day
- Serve as the primary functional SAP S/4HANA TM consultant in an AMS environment
- Handle L2/L3 production support, incidents, service requests, and problem tickets
- Troubleshoot transportation planning, execution, tendering, freight settlement, and integration issues
- Perform root-cause analysis and help reduce recurring production issues
- Support minor enhancements and configuration changes within SAP TM
- Monitor interfaces, message queues, batch jobs, and other TM-related errors
- Partner with transportation, procurement, finance, and technical teams to resolve issues and prioritize improvements
- Support regression testing, UAT, releases, and cutover activities
- Maintain documentation such as SOPs, runbooks, process flows, and knowledge articles
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of SAP logistics experience with strong SAP TM depth
- Hands-on S/4HANA TM experience
- Strong experience with planning, tendering, execution, and freight settlement
- AMS / production support experience
- L2/L3 ticket support and root-cause analysis
- Experience troubleshooting TM integrations and interface issues
- Understanding of EWM, 3PL, and carrier connectivity
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or another SLA-driven ticketing environment
Nice-to-Haves
- SAP TM certification
- SAP EWM experience
- SAP CPI / Integration Suite exposure
- Rate management and complex charge calculation experience
- Transportation experience across LTL, TL, parcel, ocean, or air
- Experience with logistics reporting/analytics
