Position Title: Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Portland, OR (hybrid)

Pay Rate Range: $90/hr-$93/hr

1. Cloud Security Engineer

Overview:

Seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to support our client's cloud security initiatives and ongoing cybersecurity programs. This role will focus on securing Azure environments, automating security processes, and supporting enterprise security monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain security controls within Azure cloud environments
• Build automation and configuration management using Ansible
• Develop scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to enhance security workflows
• Support cloud security posture management and best practices
• Assist with monitoring and detection activities; Splunk experience is a plus
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to ensure compliant and secure cloud operations

Core Skills & Experience:

• Azure CASB
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud
• Azure Event Hub
• Ansible
• Scripting
• Splunk is a bonus
• Strong proficiency with Azure security tools and services
• Hands-on experience with Ansible automation
• Solid scripting skills (any major language)
• Experience supporting enterprise security operations; Splunk familiarity preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment
