Junior Network Engineer

SUMMARY
We're looking for a Junior Level Network Engineer with 2-3 years of hands on experience in routing, switching, and troubleshooting in a dynamic, large scale environment. This role supports daily networking requests, assists with implementations, and contributes to both legacy and modern architectures (core distribution and spine leaf). Ideal for someone eager to learn, collaborate, and grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle daily network tickets (Wi Fi issues, circuit outages, VLAN changes, latency/bandwidth issues).
- Assist with routing calculations, VPN failovers, and complex network topologies.
- Configure switches and routers from the ground up.
- Work with Cisco (including Nexus), plus some Meraki and Ubiquiti gear.
- Support Layer 2/3 environments and architecture transitions (core dist spine leaf).
- Collaborate with senior engineers and other technical teams.
- Help with implementations and ongoing network improvements.
- Manage ~15-20 daily requests with varying complexity.
- Participate in building an on call rotation.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years of network engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of routing/switching and L2/L3 concepts.
- Experience with Cisco technologies; NexMeraki/Ubiquiti a plus.
- Ability to configure routers/switches from scratch.
- Familiarity with large architectures, VPN failovers, and modern designs like spine
- Strong troubleshooting skills (Wi Fi, circuits, latency, bandwidth).
