Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Backend Python Developer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This is a hands-on senior developer role focused on programming in Python for a Global Supervisory and Surveillance application. The selected candidate will manage technical tasks for monthly release cycles, developing on an internal platform to resolve audit-related items as part of a major supervisory initiative.
Responsibilities: - Perform hands-on programming in Python as a senior developer
- Manage assigned technical tasks to completion for the monthly release cycle
- Develop solutions on an internal platform to address audit-related items
Requirements: - 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in any Object-oriented language
- Python experience is necessary
- 3+ years of experience as a senior developer on Front office applications in Banking services
- 3+ years of experience in quantitative research and development, with the ability to deal with domain-specific data analysis
- 3+ years of experience in REST, ReactJS or FullStack development
- Experience and exposure to Object Databases along with Relational Databases
- Strong communication, self-starting, and analytical skills
Desired skills: - Knowledge of Fixed Income products
- 2+ years of experience in Risk and pricing application development
- Experience or knowledge of Trade Surveillance and Market Misconduct in Global Markets
- Subject matter expertise to work on the internal development platform
Pay range: $67.29 - $75.29 per Hour
