Electrical Engineer 2 (Remote – WA, OR, ID, MT)
Join a team that supports the operation and reliability of critical power grid control systems. As an Electrical Engineer 2, you''ll contribute to the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of high-availability Energy Management Systems (EMS) and operational technology infrastructure supporting regional transmission operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support engineering projects from planning through implementation.
Coordinate project schedules, scope, and technical deliverables.
Review system designs and develop technical standards, procedures, and test plans.
Analyze test results and provide engineering recommendations.
Collaborate with operations, project management, and technical teams to ensure reliable system performance.
Assist with documentation, training, and continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience applying electrical engineering principles in regional transmission or power systems.
Working knowledge of Energy Management Systems (EMS).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong communication, analytical, and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with utility operational technology (OT), enterprise IT, or control center environments.
Knowledge of high-availability systems, networking, cybersecurity, and system integration.
Experience with utility regulatory standards, project engineering, and complex infrastructure projects.
Location
Remote candidates must reside in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana. Occasional onsite support may be required based on business needs.
Additional Requirements
Valid U.S. Driver''s License.
First Aid/AED/CPR certification within 30 days of start.
