Summary

As the Senior Professional Configuration Manager at Gainwell, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining highly available, secure, and scalable cloud and on?premise environments that power healthcare and human services solutions relied upon by millions. You will leverage deep technical expertise across AWS, Linux, containerization, and automation to ensure system reliability, performance, and continuous improvement. Your role in our mission

  • Administers, configures, and supports AWS environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance across multiple environments.
  • Provides advanced Linux system administration, including performance tuning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and support for high availability and clustered environments.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains containerized solutions using Docker and/or Podman, supporting container automation and orchestration efforts.
  • Develops and maintains automation solutions using Ansible and CI/CD pipelines to improve system reliability, efficiency, and deployment consistency.
  • Performs system monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution using tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and Linux utilities (e.g., Netcat, LSOF).
  • Administers and supports Git and GitLab repositories, including version control, access management, and pipeline integration.
  • Provides administration, support, and troubleshooting for WebLogic environments across multiple servers and platforms.
  • Supports multiple production and non?production environments, ensuring system stability, performance, and continuity of service.
  • Develops and maintains scripts using Bash, Python, and/or Go to automate system tasks and operational processes.
  • Creates, maintains, and refines technical system documentation and architecture diagrams using tools such as Markdown.
  • Collaborates with cross?functional teams to support new software implementations and ongoing system enhancements.
  • Participates in 24x7 production support and on?call rotations, ensuring timely response to system issues and outages.


What we're looking for

  • Six (6) or more years of experience in AWS administration, preferably with SysOps Administrator and advanced specialty certifications.
  • Strong Linux system administration experience, including performance tuning and troubleshooting; Red Hat certification preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker and/or Podman) and automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines, including Git and GitLab administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go, with experience supporting enterprise production environments.

  • Intermediate understanding of networking concepts and firewall rules.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem?solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast?paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as a team player.
  • Ability to learn, support, and configure new technologies and software platforms.


What you should expect in this role

  • Participation in a 24x7 production support model, including on?call responsibilities.
  • Support for multiple environments and servers across cloud and on?premise platforms.
  • Flexible schedule as required to support system availability and business needs.
  • This is a United States remote opportunity

The pay range for this position is $72,800 - $104,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
