Summary

Job Title: Cerner Millennium data specialist - 15 plus years of experience

Location: Austin, TX - Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care settings
  • Extensive experience supporting large-scale EHR implementations, migrations, optimization, and legacy system retirement initiatives
  • Ability to assess, analyze, and document clinical workflows and translate them into technical and data specifications
  • Advanced hands-on expertise with Cerner Command Language (CCL) including design, development, testing, optimization, and maintenance
  • Proven experience working with Cerner Millennium architecture and underlying Oracle database schemas
  • Strong SQL and Linux experience with enterprise-level data extraction, transformation, and migration patterns
  • Design, develop, and support ETL processes, structured data feeds, and flat file integrations
  • Perform complex data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and reporting from Cerner Millennium environments
  • Experience troubleshooting and tuning CCL scripts, batch jobs, and performance issues in production and non-production environments
  • Familiarity with healthcare data integrations, reporting systems, and analytics solutions
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and SOA-based integrations
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, networking concepts, and performance tuning techniques
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between clinical stakeholders, informatics teams, and technical delivery teams
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical constraints, data limitations, and system dependencies to non-technical audiences
  • Experience writing, executing, and optimizing CCL scripts in enterprise production environments
  • Hands-on experience in system integration, data extraction, and backend code development
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, or OCI
  • Experience developing or supporting services on public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI
  • Ability to analyze system capabilities, conduct feasibility studies, and perform cost/benefit analysis of technical solutions
  • Experience reviewing system specifications, scheduling limitations, and recommending scalable solutions
  • Prior experience supporting Cerner Millennium environments in a senior or lead capacity (preferred)
  • Experience serving as a Cerner consultant, technical lead, or data transformation lead (preferred)
