Job Summary:

NCDHHS ITD is seeking an experienced Salesforce Solutions Expert/Architect to lead the DCDEE Early Education Integration System. The role will design and deliver secure, scalable, user-focused Salesforce and integration solutions aligned with the organization's digital strategy. The position will bridge business needs with solution architecture, lead complex integrations, guide technical teams, and provide hands-on technical leadership across the Salesforce ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end Salesforce solutions and guide technical strategy and execution.
• Collaborate with SMEs, technical leads, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into cost-effective technical architecture.
• Design and lead complex API-based integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
• Ensure solutions meet data security and performance standards.
• Design appropriate backup and restore strategies.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks across the architecture.
• Determine when to use standard Salesforce functionality versus custom solutions.
• Create technical documentation, data models, and solution diagrams.
• Lead code reviews, design sessions, workshops, and release planning sessions.
• Collaborate with Agile taeams on backlog refinement, user story decomposition, and acceptance criteria refinement.
• Assist with Salesforce environment setup and CI/CD pipeline processes using appropriate release management tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth project integration and delivery.

• Requirements analysis and business process design — 7+ years.
• Salesforce solution architecture and development — 7+ years.
• Apex, LWC, Aura, Flows, SOSL, SOQL, Salesforce Administration, architectural patterns, unit testing, and testing best practices — 7+ years.
• Salesforce configuration and development — 7+ years.
• Guiding development teams on appropriate Salesforce platform technology — 7+ years.
• Object-oriented design patterns and languages including Apex, Java, JavaScript, C#, and Ruby — 7+ years.
• Data migration strategies and ETL tools — 7+ years.
• Mobile solutions and architecture, including on-platform mobile considerations — 7+ years.
• Salesforce Shield and Lightning — 7+ years.
• Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD pipelines — 5+ years.
• Accessibility laws and WCAG 2.1 compliance — 5+ years.
• GitHub/Bitbucket version control — 5+ years.
• Agile methodologies — 5+ years.

Preferred:

• Experience leading enterprise Salesforce architecture and complex integration initiatives.
