XCUI and API Automation Engineer - 68791
Rate : $45 -$47/hr
We have an immediate need for an automation professional located in Cupertino, California. This role requires being onsite five days a week, positioning you right at the heart of the project environment to collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to ensure high-quality enterprise releases.
The selected engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks from scratch, implementing Page Object Model and Data-Driven Testing solutions. Responsibilities include creating and executing automated test scripts, integrating automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, and managing source code via version control systems. The role focuses heavily on performing robust REST API validation, functional testing, and regression testing, alongside analyzing test results and identifying complex software defects. Testing will be performed heavily across the entire hardware ecosystem including phones, tablets, laptops, and smartwatches.
Essential skill sets for this role include mandatory, hands-on expertise with XCUITest and strong programming capabilities utilizing Java automation. Qualified candidates must possess a deep understanding of API automation using tools like Rest Assured and TestNG, along with proficiency in scripting with Python and Swift. Technical capabilities must span mobile UI automation best practices, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, PyTest, and API validation via Postman, alongside a thorough understanding of RESTful services, HTTP methods, JSON, and XML.
