Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Performs and supports complex IT audits and technology focused projects with moderate supervision. Evaluates IT controls across cloud, on premises, and hybrid environments, including cybersecurity, data governance, analytics platforms, and emerging technologies. Contributes to clear, well structured audit documentation and reports for management.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and execute IT audits and advisory projects, independently performing key audit steps requiring technical depth.

Assess IT general controls, application controls, security configurations, data flows, and automated controls across diverse platforms (cloud, mainframe, distributed, network, database, and SaaS environments).

Perform analytics driven audit procedures using ACL/Arbutus, SQL, Python, PowerBI, Excel, or similar tools.

Assist in evaluating risks and controls related to AI/ML models, data pipelines, and automated decisioning.

Draft audit workpapers, findings, and recommendations with clarity and accuracy.

Prepare formal reports related to results of information system audits and special projects for distribution to executive management and the audit committee.

Assist in the development of less senior staff and contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies.

Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, accounting, or related field.
  • Three (3) to four (4) years of IT audit or related IT experience (systems analysis, development, cybersecurity, cloud, or IT operations).
  • Experience leading small audit sections or workstreams preferred.
  • Working knowledge technology risk management, cybersecurity frameworks (COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001), ITGCs, application controls, SDLC/DevOps, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with risk and control expectations for AI/ML, data governance, and analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency with analytics and CAAT tools (ACL/Arbutus, SQL, Python, PowerBI, and Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within audit teams.

Additional Details: This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.
