Work you'll do/Responsibilities - Develop and maintain custom code for ordering applications supporting Assisted Ordering workflows within the In Stock platform
- Provide technical guidance to the team through design walkthroughs, implementation direction, and engineering best practices
- Apply architecture design patterns and core software design patterns to improve maintainability, scalability, and testability
- Perform and lead code inspections/reviews, ensuring adherence to standards, security, and quality expectations
- Design and evolve database schemas and data access patterns to support ordering use cases and performance needs
- Implement and enhance application observability (logs, metrics, alerts) to improve monitoring and reduce time-to-detect/resolve issues
- Troubleshoot complex functional and performance issues, driving root cause analysis and preventive remediation

Qualifications Required - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of proven date engineering experience
- Experience developing and supporting custom enterprise applications, ideally in ordering, inventory, or retail operations domains
- Strong knowledge of architecture design patterns and software design patterns with practical implementation experience
- Demonstrated experience with code inspection/review techniques (peer review, static analysis, quality gates)
- Solid database design skills (relational modeling, indexing, query optimization, transactional considerations)
- Hands-on experience with application observability (monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting; tracing a plus)
- Proven ability to provide technical guidance (mentoring, review leadership, and solution direction) within a delivery team
- Demonstrated technical leadership across teams and stakeholders
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
