We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join a leading organization in Omaha, NE, supporting enterprise-grade networking solutions across a global infrastructure. This is an onsite role requiring close collaboration with data engineers and subject matter experts to design, implement, and maintain robust network environments. The role focuses on Cisco and HPE/Aruba technologies, including routing, switching, SD-WAN, and wireless solutions, along with next-generation security using Palo Alto firewalls. The candidate will also be responsible for network monitoring, automation, and IP management to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of critical systems.
To be successful in this position, one needs to be a highly experienced network professional with 8+ years of IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in Cisco and Aruba networking technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, and VRFs, along with experience in Cisco ACI (EPGs, tenants, contracts) and HPE/Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN, ClearPass, and enterprise wireless solutions. Proficiency in network automation using Ansible, Python, or similar tools is essential, along with hands-on experience in Palo Alto firewalls, SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center), Nexus Dashboard, and Infoblox for DNS/DHCP/IPAM. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills are critical for success in this role.
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing automation scripts, managing enterprise network infrastructure, administering SD-WAN and wireless platforms, monitoring network performance, and resolving complex issues through root cause analysis.
