Job Title: Python / ArcGIS Developer
Role Type: Contract-to-Hire
Role Duration: 6+ Months (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: REMOTE / OFFSITE (EST Time Zone)

We are seeking a skilled Python/ArcGIS Developer for a top global technology organization to support ongoing geospatial development and automation efforts. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and maintaining GIS applications and services using ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Python frameworks, and geoprocessing tools.  You’ll work with a collaborative team that values innovation, efficiency, and high?quality delivery across a broad geospatial ecosystem.  The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in GIS technologies along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a fast?paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance GIS applications, services, and tools using Python, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online (AGOL).

• Build and automate geospatial workflows using ArcPy, the ArcGIS Python API, and related geoprocessing frameworks.

• Publish services and tools to ArcGIS Server, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Design and maintain geoprocessing tools, scripts, and automation pipelines.

• Work with Oracle SQL databases to support GIS data operations and backend integration.

• Collaborate with cross?functional teams to understand requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high?quality GIS functionality.

• Develop scripting solutions using Arcade where applicable.

• Support GIS operations in Linux environments.

Required Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and ArcGIS Enterprise

• Strong proficiency in Python, including:

  • ArcPy

  • Flask

  • Celery

  • Faust

• Experience with ArcGIS Pro

• Proficiency in Oracle SQL

• Experience with ArcGIS Server service publishing

• Ability to configure and publish geoprocessing tools

• Familiarity with Linux environments

• Experience with Arcade and the ArcGIS Python API

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Web AppBuilder

• Ability to develop custom JavaScript widgets

• Additional depth in ArcGIS Server publishing or administration
