Role: SAP OM&E Consultant / Solution Architect – Order BOM
Location: Open to travel – ideally candidates in Pacific or Central Time Zones
Experience: 7+ years of SAP functional/solution experience
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SAP OM&E Consultant / Solution Architect with strong expertise in Order Management & Execution (OM&E), Order BOM, SAP PP, SD, MM, MRP, and manufacturing processes. The consultant will be responsible for designing and supporting end-to-end Order BOM processes for ETO, CTO, and MTO environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end Order BOM processes and customer-specific product configurations.
- Integrate Sales Orders, Order BOM, Engineering Changes, MRP, Procurement, Production Orders, and Shop Floor Execution.
- Configure and support BOM creation, copying, modification, explosion, and component determination.
- Work across SAP SD, PP, MM, Engineering/PLM, and Manufacturing processes.
- Support Variant Configuration, Engineering Change Management, MRP, Purchasing, Inventory, Production Execution, and Costing.
- Troubleshoot BOM issues including missing components, quantity mismatches, alternative items, phantom assemblies, and effectivity.
- Lead business workshops and prepare solution designs, functional specifications, process flows, and test scenarios.
- Support SIT/UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
- Coordinate with technical teams on enhancements, interfaces, reports, workflows, forms, and conversions.

- Strong SAP Order BOM / Order Management & Execution experience.
- Strong SAP PP / Manufacturing knowledge.
- SAP SD and MM integration.
- BOM configuration and explosion.
- MRP / Production Planning.
- Production and Planned Orders.
- Engineering Change Management.
- Variant Configuration.
- MTO / ETO / CTO processes.
- Material Master and Production Master Data.
- SAP S/4HANA implementation/transformation experience.
Preferred Background:
- 7+ years of SAP functional/solution experience.
- Multiple SAP manufacturing implementations.
- Experience with complex configurable or engineered products.
- Industrial manufacturing, aerospace & defense, machinery, automotive, or high-tech experience.
- Experience leading Order BOM design workshops and translating business requirements into SAP solutions.
