Field Service Representative

Widescope Consulting and Contracting Services, LLC is hiring a Field Service Representative to support the United States Air Force in advancing next-generation, cloud-based command and control (CBC2) capabilities aligned with the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) vision.

This role contributes to the development of interoperable, resilient systems designed to enhance information sharing, strengthen layered security, standardize data architectures, and enable faster, more effective cross-domain operations—empowering any sensor to inform any shooter across all domains.

Widescope is delivering mission-critical support leveraging advanced technologies, including AI/ML and distributed architectures. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in large-scale system-of-systems design, development, and integration, with strong expertise in software engineering, configuration management, and distributed computing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-level operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex systems, workstations, and servers

• Coordinate and execute software installations, patches, and upgrades in accordance with IT policies

• Monitor, optimize, and tune system performance across multiple environments

• Ensure data integrity through implementation and management of secure hardware/software solutions

• Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability

• Support server modernization initiatives and infrastructure improvements

• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and system schedules

• Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with security, configuration, and operational standards

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to support evolving mission requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience (or Master’s with 7+ years; experience may substitute for degree)

• IMPORTANT: Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security)

• IMPORTANT: U.S. Citizenship required

• Experience managing and troubleshooting cloud-based systems

• Experience with Windows Domain Controllers and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

• IMPORTANT: Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with PowerShell and Bash scripting

• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar ticketing systems

• Experience with Windows Server environments (virtual and physical; VMware/Hyper-V)

• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and associated services (DNS, DHCP, GPO, DFS)

• Experience managing file systems and permissions (NTFS, NetApp, network storage solutions)
