Job Title: Solution Architect / Data Modeler

Location: USA Remote

Role Type: Contract

• Confirm if the candidate has worked with clickstream or event-tracking platforms such as Snowplow, Segment, mParticle, Adobe Analytics event collection, or Google Analytics event instrumentation.

• Own the technical architecture for Gold-layer pipeline design using dbt and Airflow on a cloud data warehouse, including integrations with the Real-Time Newsroom Web UI and Audience Goals Dashboard.
• Act as primary technical liaison to client Data Engineering, Data Collection, and Program Management teams. Represent Virtusa in technical design sessions and Q1 joint-discovery discussions.
• Work with the Solution Lead to translate ambiguous or pending requirements into concrete technical specifications.
• Resolve architectural dependencies including Bronze/Silver readiness handoffs, event-tracker instrumentation gaps, reconciliation tolerance thresholds, hosting platforms, and role-based access models.
• Provide technical direction to offshore teams across Data, UI Build, and UX Design, including reviewing designs and implementation decisions.
• Manage delivery risks for the accelerated-track deliverable under hard deadlines and out-of-band design processes.
• Ensure data quality, parity validation against legacy baselines, and observability standards align with client conventions using dbt, managed workflow orchestration, and standard linting/pre-commit tools.
• Support sprint planning and resourcing to balance uneven quarter-over-quarter workloads.
• Escalate scope, timeline, or dependency risks to the Solution Lead.
• Support post-launch activities, knowledge transfer, and documentation handover to the client Data Engineering team.

• 8+ years in data or solution architecture roles.
• 3+ years in cloud data warehouse medallion architectures like Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven data collection platforms such as Snowplow, Segment, or mParticle as a source system.
• Strong dbt and workflow orchestration experience, such as Airflow. Familiarity with managed orchestration bridges like Astronomer Cosmos is a plus.
• Experience architecting real-time or near-real-time analytics pipelines for high-concurrency, low-latency use cases. Media, publishing, or editorial analytics experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with data migration and parity validation when replacing legacy vendor analytics tools with modern in-house systems.
• Working knowledge of front-end and full-stack architecture to coordinate effectively with UI build teams.
• Experience in T&M staff-augmentation delivery models operating alongside a client-owned PMO.
• Strong client-facing communication skills to present technical positions to enterprise stakeholders.
• Experience managing or technically directing offshore delivery teams.
• Familiarity with SSO/Okta-based access models and enterprise data governance frameworks.

• Prior experience with BI tool integration or repointing projects, such as Tableau.
• Experience with newsroom or editorial analytics tools like Parse.ly or Chartbeat.
• AWS certification or hands-on experience with AWS, EKS, or Istio.
