Description
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to support a growing team in New York, New York through a mix of remote assistance and occasional onsite visits. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical support, user onboarding, and day-to-day desktop troubleshooting in a small team environment. The role will work closely with a broader IT function to keep systems accessible, employees supported, and technical issues resolved efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Deliver remote support and provide onsite assistance in New York, New York when in-person troubleshooting or setup is needed.
Prepare equipment, user accounts, system access, and required applications for new hires, and ensure departures are handled with proper access removal.
Resolve everyday Windows desktop issues by diagnosing technical problems, guiding users, and restoring functionality quickly.
Administer user permissions and assist with software installation, updates, and deployment activities across supported devices.
Support basic network-related tasks and contribute to IT initiatives that improve local technology operations.
Track, prioritize, and respond to service desk requests while maintaining clear communication with end users and internal IT partners.
Collaborate regularly with the broader IT team to align support activities, escalate issues when necessary, and maintain consistent service levels.
Requirements
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, including Windows 10 desktop troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Active Directory for account setup, access updates, and user administration.
Ability to investigate and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Familiarity with managing and updating service desk tickets in an organized and timely manner.
Strong communication skills with the ability to support users remotely and in person.
Comfortable working in a part-time support capacity with occasional onsite responsibilities in New York, New York.
Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a broader IT team.
