Control Engineer

Entry-Level Controls Engineer (4 openings)

Location: Peoria, IL

Seeking 4 candidates for the following shifts:

• 1 opening on 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
• 3 openings on 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Position Overview

This team supports data collection efforts and new technology development initiatives. Candidates will have exposure to multiple areas of the business and work closely with cross-functional teams.

There are three primary areas of responsibility:

• Working with machines to flash software and troubleshoot communication issues.
• Supporting data collection activities in the field.
• Acting as a liaison between facilities, helping coordinate data collection requests and project activities.

Candidates should be comfortable rotating between all functional areas.

Time Allocation

• 25% Office work
• 25% Shop/facility maintenance support
• 50% Field-based data collection

Team Environment

• Currently a team of six employees
• Comprehensive training will be provided
• Open to candidates willing to relocate to the Peoria area

Ideal Candidate

• entry level candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in controls, data collection, and emerging technologies
• Interested in working across multiple teams and environments
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Exposure to or basic understanding of Ethernet and CAN communication tools/protocols (academic or professional experience accepted)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CANalyzer or CANape
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and troubleshooting
