Software QA Engineer – API & Cloud Testing – Hybrid

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Software QA Engineer with strong expertise in API testing, cloud-native application testing, automation testing, and UAT coordination. The ideal candidate should have experience validating enterprise cloud applications, managing QA processes, and ensuring high-quality software releases in distributed cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for APIs, backend services, and cloud-based applications
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Validate containerized applications and cloud platform deployments
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business stakeholders
• Manage bug tracking workflows, defect reporting, prioritization, and SLA tracking in Jira
• Execute integration testing across distributed applications and cloud services
• Create reusable test cases aligned with business and technical acceptance criteria
• Monitor test quality metrics, defect trends, and release readiness
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and platform engineering teams in Agile environments
• Support QA automation initiatives and CI/CD quality processes

Required Skills:
• 4+ years of Software QA / Automation Testing experience
• Strong API testing experience using Postman, REST-assured, pytest, or similar tools
• Experience testing cloud-native and containerized applications
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, or Cloud Run
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts including IAM, networking, and storage
• Experience with regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Strong Jira experience including defect tracking and workflow management
• Experience coordinating and managing UAT activities
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and QA validation processes
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices
• Experience with Dynatrace or monitoring tools is a plus
• Familiarity with AI/LLM testing concepts is a plus
