Position Overview
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs to formulate systems that parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering, identifying new technology applications for business problems, industry-standard business process mapping, preparing solution options, risk identification, financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build), and writing detailed user needs, program functions, and development steps.
The role focuses on communicating and collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams on technology migration projects to define scope, map data, translate business rules to technical specs, manage expectations, and validate data/functionality transfer with minimal disruption and maximum integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Elicitation & Documentation: Identify, define, and document business and technical requirements for moving from legacy systems to new solutions.
- Data Mapping & Transformation: Analyze data sources, identify data fields to be migrated, and map data from source to target systems.
- Process Modeling: Document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) business processes.
- Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between legacy functionality/data and the new system, proposing solutions for data cleansing or process adjustments.
- Validation & Testing: Define test cases, validate data consistency, and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify successful migration.
- Stakeholder Management: Facilitate workshops, communicate progress, and manage risks with business users and technical teams.
- Documentation & Training: Create user manuals, functional specs, and support training materials for the new system.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements (5-7+ Years Experience)

- Experience in requirements gathering and testing of web-based applications (7+ years required).
- Experience in performing data analysis from databases using SQL (5+ years required).
- Experience in creating mock-ups for user interfaces (5+ years required).
- Experience creating requirement traceability matrix (5+ years required).
- Experience writing test cases and test scripts (5+ years required).
- Experience in testing of batch jobs and web services (5+ years required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Working on projects following Agile Development Methodologies (5+ years preferred).
