Work Location - Stateline, Nevada 89449 (Onsite)

Position Overview

The Onsite IT Support Engineer will serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day IT support at office in Stateline, Nevada. The engineer will provide hands-on support for desktops, network connectivity, VOIP systems, and audiovisual equipment used in hybrid public meetings while coordinating with remote infrastructure specialists responsible for servers, databases, and cloud services

Key Responsibilities

User and Desktop Support

  • Provide onsite support for 75 80 employees and their computing devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and MacOS workstations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Support Office 365, email, and collaboration tools.
  • Maintain approximately 143 workstations and associated peripherals.

Network and Infrastructure Support

  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining network switches, firewall, wireless networks, and VPN services.
  • Support administration of VMware servers, SAN storage, and virtual infrastructure.
  • Perform routine updates, patching, and system maintenance.

VOIP and Communication Systems

  • Maintain and troubleshoot the 8x8 VOIP phone system.
  • Configure physical and soft phones and manage user assignments.

Meeting and Audio/Visual Support

  • Provide technical support for hybrid public meetings held at the office and occasional offsite locations.
  • Support meeting platforms such as Zoom, Teams, GoToMeeting, and 8x8 conferencing.
  • Ensure proper functioning of audiovisual systems and meeting broadcasts.

Website and Application Support

  • Provide technical support for WordPress-based websites and hosted applications.
  • Coordinate with remote specialists for updates, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Security and Compliance

  • Implement endpoint security and antivirus protection.
  • Monitor system security alerts and ensure adherence to IT security best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing IT technical support.
  • Experience with Windows, MacOS, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting, VOIP systems, and audiovisual meeting technologies.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
