EDI with ITX Migration

Role: Senior EDI Migration Specialist

Location: Plano, TX (Remote)

 

 

Client is looking for an EDI migration specialist resource and the key technical skills we are looking for are –
1. Minimum 5 years of experience on ITX and ITXA on Linux including developing maps, type trees, envelope creation, de-enveloping, validation etc.
2. Experience with Sterling Gentran on z/OS with skills to analyze Gentran Maps, Partner profiles and processes.
3. Experience on migration of Gentran on z/OS maps, processes and trading partner profiles to ITX and ITXA on Linux.
4. Hands on experience with setup and configuration of ITX and ITXA and supporting toolsets on Linux environment.
5. Strong understanding on ANSI X12 and HL7 EDI Standards (such as 834/835/837)

Role Overview:
Solutions and executes migration of Mainframe applications into software equivalent systems (rehosting).
10 Years’ + Relevant Experience mentioned below is Mandatory
8–12+ years in EDI/B2B integration with 5+ years with IBM ITX/ITXA (map design, type trees, rules, deploy).
Hands-on migration experience from Mainframe Gentran (z/OS) to ITXA on Linux
Good knowledge ITXA components: mapping, schemas/type trees, runtime configuration, adapter/transport setup, trading partner configuration.
Proficient with Linux administration for application runtime (services, filesystem, permissions, shell scripting).
Familiarity with Mainframe concepts: JCL, batch scheduling, data sets etc.
Uses knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, files, etc to find the right solution to migrate off the Mainframe.

Experience in requirements solicitation
Able to differentiate between needs & wants
Experience in translating business requirements into technical requirements
Ability to work well within the team
Familiar with programming languages, and able to read some legacy code at a high-level to understand code rules
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent
Technical experience

Preferences: Knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM files, etc.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects or offer programming solutions at an advanced level.
Advanced understanding of how technology decisions relate to business needs.
Ability to architect and design modernized systems with new technologies
Ability to identify changes required in the NTTDS tools and methodology to meet a particular solution or customer need.
