The Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading the plant-level improvement process by gathering and analyzing data, evaluating improvement opportunities, and implementing improvement projects while ensuring plant improvements align with business objectives.

What You'll Do
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, defining project scope, and prioritizing process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams (operations, tech center, EH&S, maintenance) to develop and implement safe and effective project designs.
  • Ensures technical integrity and effective communication between teams and plant operations through all project phases (including FEL).
  • Champions process safety, managing key project responsibilities, and leading new plant product trials.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience leading plant-level improvement processes in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Prior management of vendor proposals and quotations, contractor bids, and development of desired solutions preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - verbal and written and demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 PSM standard and SAP preferred.
  • Prior Olin experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid US driver's license.
