Senior .NET Developer 

Location: Remote (Preference for Iowa-based candidates)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer with strong expertise in both backend development and front-end UI/UX implementation. This role requires a hands-on professional who can develop enterprise-grade applications, create accessible and responsive user experiences, and contribute immediately with modern development best practices.

A key focus of this role is digital accessibility. All deliverables must comply with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards. Candidates should also have experience working within or contributing to enterprise design systems.

Note: Code samples or a portfolio demonstrating front-end, UI, and development work are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications using .NET, C#, MVC, and Web Forms.
• Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using HTML5, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Material Design.
• Apply UI/UX best practices, usability principles, and design thinking to create intuitive user experiences.
• Work within enterprise design systems and contribute to component standardization efforts.
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility standards using tools such as JAWS and axe.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, middleware integrations, and backend services.
• Perform SQL Server development and database support activities.
• Follow secure coding standards and handle sensitive or confidential data appropriately.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployments using Azure DevOps.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production issues across enterprise environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET and C# development.
• Strong front-end development expertise with HTML5, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, and responsive design.
• Proven experience implementing UI/UX principles and translating designs into functional applications.
• Experience with accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA, accessibility testing, and remediation.
• Experience working within an enterprise design system.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, APIs, and middleware integrations.
• Experience supporting enterprise production applications and handling sensitive data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Accessibility certifications such as CPACC, IAAP WAS, or DHS Trusted Tester.
• Experience in government, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with Angular, GitHub, and AWS.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and implementing modern development practices.
