Job Description:
Our client is a trusted general contracting firm based in Northern,
Virginia delivering high-quality commercial and residential construction
services across the region. They specialize in interior build-outs,
renovations, and tenant improvements, with a reputation for integrity,
craftsmanship, and on-time project delivery.
The Interior Superintendent will oversee and manage all field operations
related to interior construction projects. This role requires a
detail-oriented professional who ensures projects are executed to
company quality standards, delivered on schedule, and completed within
budget. The Interior Superintendent will serve as the primary point of
contact on-site, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining safety
compliance, and ensuring seamless communication between the field and
the project management team.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Supervise day-to-day field operations for interior construction and
renovation projects.
- Manage schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to achieve
quality project outcomes.
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, and
compliance with plans/specifications.
- Enforce and maintain safety standards in alignment with OSHA and
Utica Contracting policies.
- Communicate proactively with project managers, clients, and
stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Review and interpret construction documents, drawings, and
specifications.
- Track project materials, deliveries, and inventory for timely
execution.
- Ensure quality control across all aspects of the project, addressing
deficiencies promptly.
- Maintain detailed daily logs and documentation of site activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Foreman in
interior construction, renovations, or tenant improvements.
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, codes, and safety
standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and
technical documents.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate
subcontractors and crews.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and
Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
