Genesis10 is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ, Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This is an opportunity to join a newly forming Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team and establish its core practices from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have proven SRE experience and a passion for driving reliability and enhancing the customer experience. This role offers a unique chance to influence and set the culture for a new team dedicated to system stability and performance.
Responsibilities: - Establish SRE functions and tasks from the ground up
- Generate and maintain Critical User Journeys (CUJs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
- Conduct blameless postmortems, manage error budgets, and facilitate role-playing scenarios
- Develop Non-Abstract Large System Designs (NALSD)
- Drive a culture of reliability and continuous improvement
- Communicate technical concepts and stories effectively to business stakeholders
Requirements: - Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
- Strong understanding of SRE concepts, including SLIs, SLOs, and NALSD
- The ability to code in any programming language
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of SQL
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present your position with confidence
Desired skills: - Background in software development or DevOps
Pay range: $60.00 - $68.00 per hour
