SAP Financials Lead – SAP S/4HANA

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Financials Lead to support a greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation. This consultant will lead Finance solution design and implementation activities while collaborating with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have extensive SAP Finance expertise, strong project accounting experience, and a proven background in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations, particularly within construction and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Finance solution design, configuration, and implementation activities for a greenfield SAP S/4HANA project.

• Configure and support core SAP Finance modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, and Financial Reporting.

• Support complex project accounting processes, including revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting.

• Collaborate with SAP Project Systems (PS), integration teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless financial processes.

• Facilitate solution design workshops, gather business requirements, and translate them into SAP Finance solutions.

• Provide functional expertise and guidance on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Finance capabilities.

• Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover, go-live, and post-production stabilization.

• Serve as the Finance functional lead, ensuring alignment between business requirements and SAP best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on SAP Finance (FI) experience, with strong expertise in project accounting.

• Proven experience supporting multiple SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations.

• Required experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Finance.

• Required experience within the construction industry.

• Strong functional knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.

• Experience with complex revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting processes.

• Experience collaborating with SAP Project Systems and cross-functional integration teams.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to lead functional discussions, facilitate workshops, and work effectively with business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementations.

• Experience working in manufacturing environments.

• Previous experience serving as an SAP Finance Functional Lead on large-scale ERP transformation projects.
