Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced APIGEE API Developer to join our team for a remote contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, developing, and managing APIs using the Apigee platform. You will work closely with architects, backend developers, and integration teams to build scalable and secure API solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy APIs using Apigee Edge / Apigee X

• Build and manage API proxies, policies, and shared flows

• Implement API security policies such as OAuth, JWT, API keys, and rate limiting

• Integrate APIs with backend services and microservices

• Troubleshoot and optimize API performance

• Work with DevOps teams for CI/CD integration and deployments

• Create API documentation and support API lifecycle management

Requirements:

• 7+ years of overall IT experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X

• Experience with RESTful APIs and API management

• Good knowledge of OAuth2.0, JWT, API security, and authentication mechanisms

• Experience with JSON, XML, OpenAPI/Swagger

• Familiarity with microservices architecture

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform/AWS/Azure) is a plus

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
