Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our agile team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle Database development (SQL, PL/SQL), Informatica/ETL, and Linux/Unix and a proven ability to design, optimize, and deploy large-scale data processing solutions supporting sanctions and AML screening initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an active participant in the Scrum team with daily interactions with the Product Owner.
- Estimate, tailor, and groom user stories and deliver on time.
- Design, develop, and deploy Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code for high-volume data processing.
- Build and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC on Linux/Unix.
- Implement and support Enterprise Sanctions and AML screening on the NetReveal platform.
- Model relational and dimensional schemas, including Star and Snowflake designs, for scalability and performance.
- Perform advanced query and application performance tuning in large data environments.
- Collaborate with clients and business partners as needed to clarify requirements and outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL with deep knowledge of Oracle database architecture and internals.
- Strong proficiency with Informatica (PowerCenter and IDMC) and Linux/Unix scripting.
- Extensive experience with relational and dimensional data modeling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Proven ability to design, model, and optimize database schemas for performance and scale.
- Advanced performance tuning for queries and applications in high-volume environments.
- Hands-on experience processing large datasets and integrating data warehouses with BI platforms.
- Agile delivery experience with Jira and Scrum ceremonies participation.
- Effective communication, problem solving, self-direction, and adaptability.
- 15+ years of experience in application development.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Financial Crimes, Economic Sanctions, AML, sanctions screening, PEP, and negative news.
- Hadoop ecosystem knowledge and distributed systems experience.
- Tableau and Power BI development for dashboards and analytics; BI integration experience.
- Familiarity with Delta Lake and Lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with containers and cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Exposure to APIs, Spring, Java, Kafka, MQ, and YAML.
