Technical Support Engineer – Automations

Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite 2 days/week – Wednesday & Thursday)
Pay Rate: $28–$35/hour (W2)
Duration: 12-Month Contract

 

Russell Tobin is seeking a Technical Support Engineer – Automations to support a leading enterprise technology client. In this role, you will assist customers with troubleshooting technical issues, understanding platform functionality, and resolving unexpected system behaviors within the ServiceNow platform.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong troubleshooting skills, JavaScript knowledge, and a solid understanding of networking and operating system debugging. You will work directly with users to diagnose issues and provide solutions while delivering an exceptional customer support experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve technical support cases related to the ServiceNow platform
  • Troubleshoot unexpected platform behavior and technical issues using diagnostic tools and debugging techniques
  • Provide support through web, chat, email, case updates, and telephone communication
  • Analyze system behavior and logs to determine root causes of issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical problems
  • Manage assigned cases and ensure timely resolution for customers
  • Provide feedback on potential product and process improvements based on customer interactions

 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, APIs, etc.)
  • Experience troubleshooting operating systems or system-level software
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple technical support cases simultaneously

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with the ServiceNow platform
  • Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Familiarity with workflow automation or IT service management systems
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical support role
