Job Title: ETL Developer / Data Warehouse Architect
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid/Onsite as required)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer / Data Warehouse Architect to support enterprise data initiatives, including Master Data Management (MDM) and modern data platform development.
This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions that enable accurate reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into robust data architecture and ETL pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines for enterprise data integration
- Support Master Data Management (MDM) and data architecture initiatives
- Gather and analyze business requirements; define KPIs and data metrics
- Translate business needs into scalable data warehouse and ETL solutions
- Design and implement data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts
- Develop reports, dashboards, alerts, and analytics solutions
- Ensure data quality, governance, integrity, and lifecycle management
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and architecture improvements
- Support modernization and migration of legacy data platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions
- Provide guidance and training to users on data and analytics tools
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data
- 5+ years of experience with IBM Knowledge Catalog
- Strong experience migrating IBM DataStage workloads to Cloud Pak for Data
- 5+ years of experience with IBM Manta
- Experience defining and enforcing data architecture standards and best practices
- Strong experience designing scalable enterprise data solutions
- Experience working in complex, multi-source environments
- Solid understanding of:
- Data governance and data quality
- Data consistency and lifecycle management
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in government or public sector environments
- Prior experience with large-scale enterprise data platforms
