Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support a large-scale banking data integration and migration initiative. This role requires strong Retail Banking domain expertise, hands-on SQL and data analysis capabilities, and experience supporting data warehousing, data migration, and Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) efforts.

The ideal candidate will serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that data requirements, mappings, and business rules are accurately captured, documented, and validated throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, system, and data requirements.
  • Analyze source and target systems, data models, interfaces, and business processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documentation, including transformation logic and validation rules.
  • Perform data profiling, analysis, reconciliation, and validation activities using SQL.
  • Identify data quality issues, mapping discrepancies, transformation requirements, and data gaps.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, data engineers, and QA teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support data migration activities, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), conversion rehearsals, cutover planning, and post-production validation.
  • Ensure full traceability of requirements, business rules, and data mappings through development and testing phases.
  • Assist in issue resolution and provide recommendations for data quality and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience supporting enterprise data initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on SQL expertise, including:
    • Complex joins
    • Common Table Expressions (CTEs)
    • Aggregations
    • Analytical queries
    • Data validation techniques
  • Demonstrated experience with data profiling, data analysis, and reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including:
    • ETL/ELT processes
    • Dimensional modeling
    • Fact and dimension structures
    • Staging environments
    • Data marts
  • Extensive experience creating and managing Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documentation.
  • Experience with data integration, migration, conversion, and data quality initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Retail Banking Domain Expertise

Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Retail Banking operations and products, including:
  • Customer and Account Management
  • Checking, Savings, Certificate of Deposit (CD), and Deposit Products
  • Customer Onboarding and KYC Processes
  • ACH, Wire Transfers, Check Processing, and Payments
  • Debit Card, ATM, Branch, and Digital Banking Channels
  • Transaction Processing, Fees, Interest, and Balances
  • Product and Reference Data Management
  • Statements, Account Servicing, and General Ledger Interfaces
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting bank mergers, core banking conversions, or large-scale banking transformation programs.
  • Previous experience with enterprise data migration or modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks, and regulatory banking environments.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
