Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Specialist to oversee day-to-day IT systems and assets, support upgrades and fixes, and provide training and technical assistance across the organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining reliable technology operations and improving employee productivity.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with computer hardware, software, and network support, stays current with industry trends, and enjoys working directly with employees to solve problems efficiently. This position will have an immediate impact on operational efficiency and overall business growth.
Key Objectives
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, desktops, laptops, and hardware
- Support business-critical IT tasks and continuous system improvements
- Enable faster, smarter business processes and increased employee productivity
- Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, hardware, and software
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for Windows environments and commonly used applications such as Microsoft and Adobe
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support workstation hardware, software, printers, and phones
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, Surface devices, and peripherals
- Analyze user needs, identify vulnerabilities, and improve system efficiency and accuracy
- Design, document, implement, test, and administer systems and networks to ensure seamless integration and performance
- Deploy application and software upgrades and resolve performance issues
- Train employees on software and hardware usage and provide ongoing technical support
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office 365, VPNs, Adobe products, antivirsecurity tools (e.g., McAfee), LogMeIn, encryption, and related technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot computer peripherals, including printers, scanners, monitors, keyboards, mice, and other devices
- Hands-on experience supporting end-user computing devices such as desktops, laptops, and Microsoft Surface Pro systems
- Experience working in an Active Directory domain environment
- Proficiency in software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Basic networking knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot network issues using command-line tools
