About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
Software Engineer to join an established, high-performing team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex software solutions. You will work across the full SDLC and contribute to both legacy modernization efforts and new product development.
This role requires strong technical depth, comfort navigating large and evolving codebases, and the ability to collaborate closely with product, engineering, and internal stakeholders. You will independently own significant technical deliverables, participate in design discussions, and help guide the team through evolving requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, test, and deploy scalable web applications using a modern stack (Python backend with Vue/React/Angular frontend).
- Develop and maintain applications hosted in cloud environments (primarily AWS).
- Support production workloads, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high reliability.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, system design, and component-level planning.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
- Participate fully in Agile ceremonies, quarterly planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with internal and customer-facing teams to refine requirements and deliver high-quality software.

- Familiarity with Pandas or data engineering workflows

Team & Project Environment- The team delivers the bulk of product development across the company.
- Heavily goal-oriented with structured quarterly planning cycles.
- Engineers work closely with product teams to estimate workloads and plan resource allocation.
- Multiple new product workstreams are launching, including initiatives tied to AI and enterprise modernization.
- The organization is expanding engineering capacity significantly, adding more than 20 engineers through AGS to support delivery needs.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (required).
- Proven experience developing modern web applications in production environments.
- Strong background in cloud environments, distributed systems, and supporting live production workloads.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate evolving or ambiguous requirements.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.
Preferred but Not Required:AWS certifications, DevOps skills, CI/CD pipeline experience, Power BI, SCADA familiarity, cloud security, or compliance experience.Additional NotesThis position is 100% onsite in St. Paul, MN.Only candidates able to physically work onsite at the WLS building will be considered.EEO Employer
