This Boston-based tech organization is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join a high-impact team building large-scale revenue cycle and automation systems used across the healthcare industry. This is a full-time role working onsite 1 day/week, and the team works heavily with Java, Python, AWS, Spring Boot, relational databases, and modern microservice architectures. plus opportunities to work with GenAI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Python
- Experience working with AWS services, containerization, and cloud-native deployments
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, RESTful APIs
- Experience with Spring Boot, Unix/Linux, and Kubernetes
- Prior experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers
- Must be local to the Boston area (on-site 1 day/week)
- 1+ years of experience designing or implementing GenAI / LLM-based solutions
- Knowledge of scalable AI architectures, RAG, Agentic workflows, vector stores (FAISS, Pinecone)
- Experience integrating OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, etc.
- Perl experience is a bonus
- Experience building decoupled or distributed applications
- 70% Core backend development (Java, Python, Spring Boot, microservices)
- 20% Cloud deployment, orchestration, and DevOps work (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
- 10% GenAI/LLM integration work depending on project load

- Base salary up to $200,000
- Bonus eligible (roughly 17%)
